Each smart glass sheet is an electronic device. One of the major concern of customers is whether the smart glass is water proof. Would that be possible for the smart glass to withstand in the humid environment. The Nano Lam Son smart glass has rather low working voltage (48 – 60V AC) and the current is at mA scale. However, the current leakage might induce a slight shock or secondary accident to users.
In order to address this concern, we immersed a framed smart glass sheet into water for 7 days. The result turned out to be that the glass is absolutely water proof, hence, there was no leakage current come out of water. The Nano Lam Son smart glass is suitable for the installation at the outdoor constructions that are fully facing with the high humidity as well as harsh weather conditions.
